I am a recent graduate from UCSD with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Behavioral Psychology with a minor in Human Rights. I also obtained an A.A. in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Math and Science.
Experience
I am about to begin my third year as a Teaching Assistant/Tutor at Monte Vista High School. Because I am employed by Grossmont Union High School District, I have undergone training and a certificate of completion to become a tutor for the AVID program. I genuinely enjoy working as a tutor because it truly is a fulfilling job to know I've contributed to the growth and education of a struggling student. Personally, I know firsthand what it feels like to be a struggling student. I worked 2 jobs to pay for my tuition and refrain from falling into debt. I made large sacrifices throughout my college career because education was [and still is] my number one priority. I value my education to the highest degree and it fills me with great pride to have struggled and triumped through it all.
